MIKE MONTAGANO FOR CONGRESS
Using Hoosier Values to Deliver Real Change

Washington could use a strong dose of Hoosier values and common sense.
Meet Mike Montagano. Mike's a 4th generation northeast Hoosier who earned a reputation as a straight-shooter working with Indiana icons Joe Kernan and Tim Roemer. Our traditions are Mike's traditions. He's 100% pro-life and supports our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms. Delivering change starts by changing the way Congress does business. Mike will slam the door on the special interests. With health care costs out of reach of middle-class families, and high taxes, record number of foreclosures and $4 a gallon gas all squeezing the life out of middle-class paychecks, Indiana can't wait another day for change.

Strengthen our Hoosier Economy

Put Americans first with $100 billion in middle-class tax relief and end the Bush Administration's $55 billion in corporate giveaways and loopholes.
Use smart incentives to attract good jobs with good benefits to this part of Indiana.

                Honor Our Veterans

•  Expand post-traumatic stress disorder medical coverage and make sure our veterans get the health care they've earned and deserve.
• Extend the Family and Medical Leave Act coverage for family members of wounded veterans.
Fight for our local veterans and keep the Fort Wayne VA Hospital's in-patient services from Closing.

Lower Gas Prices   and Energy Independence

•  Crack down on price gouging and oppose tax cuts for huge oil companies raking in record profits.
• Provide incentives to explore alternative energy sources and find solutions that will create 5 million green collar jobs.
Use local energy sources to make Indiana a part of the alternative energy solution and end our dependence on Mideast oil.

      Quality, Affordable Health Care

•  Make health insurance available for children, low-income families, and small businesses.
• Fight to expand the S-CHIP program so Indiana children have the health care they need to start out right.
